台灣各在地教會的牧者、長執、會友與參加ILT的青年朋友們，平安！ 來自台灣基督長老教會總會青年事工委員會的問候，願主的平安與你們同在。 「2015我愛台灣宣教營」即將到來，很榮幸有您們的參與和協助，盼望在彼此的合作下，讓青年藉著參與暑期事工更加認識與疼惜台灣，也使國內教會藉由接待國際友人擴展對宣教的認知。從這些不同國家、族群、地區的青年朋友相處中，期望不僅是事工上的幫助，更重要是透過交流更深入了解彼此，體驗普世青年合一運動的信仰精神。 今年是特別的一年─ILT主題「看‧恩典的記號」。1865年，來自蘇格蘭的宣教士馬雅各醫師（Dr. James L. Maxwell）抵達台灣南部，揭開長老教會在台灣宣教的首頁；7年後，馬偕牧師（Rev. George L. Mackay）受加拿大長老教會差派，也在台灣北部展開了他的宣教事業。從開設醫院、學校開始，以醫療與教育關照台灣人的身體和心靈，更在各地建立教會，將耶穌基督的愛與福音傳揚到這塊土地的每個角落。 一個半世紀來，台灣基督長老教會與台灣一起從被殖民走向民主化，更在幾次的重大天災中，陪伴台灣人民走過苦難與傷痛。而今，我們以回顧上主同在與引領，並細數其間恩典的軌跡，來歡慶「宣教150週年」。更期許自己，持續通過愛與受苦的行動，使教會成為盼望的記號。 「2015我愛台灣宣教營」將於7月1日至7月18日舉行，為使整個活動順利進行，敬請詳見下方附件資訊～ －－－－－－－－－－－－ Dear Youth friends, Warm greetings from the Youth Ministry Committee of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT). May God’s grace and peace be with you all. As you received this letter, it means that you are ready to participate in “2015 I Love Taiwan Mission Camp, ILT”. We are glad to welcome you to attend in 2015 ILT held from 1 July to 18 July. Soon, you will come together in Taiwan from every corner in the world. This is a unique trip in the beautiful land. In this mission, you’ll be sent to serve in local community service of summer school in the churches of Taiwan. The purpose is to let you to experience the ecumenical movement through the participation in mission, to learn and share with each other, and to construct a life of identification, devotion and growth. We know that you may be curious to which church you might be sent, however, kindly be patience for the final distribution list while we need to reconfirm all the participants as well as the Taiwanese churches. Please note the following part for the better arrangement beforehand: Arrival Participants are advised to schedule your arrivals in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport preferably on 1 July (The program will begin in the evening of 1 July.) Departure Participants are advised to schedule your departure from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on 18 July. (The program will finish around 9 pm of 17 July.) We will provide picking up service at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Please reply your flight schedule (including arrivals and departure) and T-Shirt Size to Ms. Wan-Jou (youth@mail.pct.org.tw) and copy to the staff of reception group - Mr. Jia-Quin (Christopher000226@yahoo.com) and Ms. Point (tingbaby19950403@gmail.com) before the 15th of June. It is much helpful for the reception team who will go to the airport and pick you up. If you plan to arrive and depart by yourself, more information of transportation to the Venue (Tamshui, Taipei and Puli, Nantou) you can find the information in the attachments. Insurance Your passport number and the date of birth are necessary for buying insurance. Some of you haven’t given the information. Please also email to Wan-Jou, Point, and Jia-Quin before the 15th of June. If you have any special medical condition, kindly inform us again, we will arrange extra medical insurance for you. Visa requirements If you need the invitation letter for applying visa to Taiwan, kindly inform us. Please take attention on the duration of the visa, for example: the participants from Hong Kong are not suggested applying for land visa (visa upon arrival) because of the duration is not long enough.
